Here’s a list of my favorite products.

As always, you should always consult your vet before trying new treats, foods, or supplements. Check the size of chews/toys before purchasing, and select a size appropriate for your dog. Additionally, dogs should not be left unattended with toys or chews. Dogs and puppies should always be monitored to ensure they don’t ingest large pieces of chews, or any piece of a toy. Some links are affiliate links, meaning I will receive a small kickback for your purchase. That being said it will be the same price for you either way, and these are all products I use or have used myself.

Always Monitor your dog while they chew to ensure they don’t choke, or eat any non-edible items.

  • BITE n CHEW -this toy has a chew-to-brush design, which includes both treats you insert inside and soft bristles for cleaning. When your dog bites down, the bristles  scrub each side of your dog’s tooth for a gentle cleaning action.
  • Dental Chews C.E.T. (XS size): Combines natural antiseptic activity with abrasive action to loosen tartar and provide clinically proven plaque control
  • Dental Chews Whimzees (medium breed):  These dental chews clean teeth, freshen breath and reduce tartar and plaque; treat them to a chew once a day to fight bacteria and promote overall health
  • Dental Chews Whimzees (large dogs): Made with 6 primary non GMO ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, gluten or grain. They’re perfect for dogs with food allergies or sensitivities
  • DNA test from Embark: most accurate and more breeds in database than competitors
  • Gut Test: This at-home test detects bacterial imbalances and provides actionable insights for personalized diet, supplement, or lifestyle changes to improve your dog’s health.

This is something you’ll always want to double check with your vet. Use your best judgement – just like people, some dogs don’t do well on certain foods.

In general, I like to use my food as treats – measure out food for the day, give a little bit of breakfast in a snuffle mat, and then use the rest for training throughout the day. Whatever is left over can be given for dinner.

For puppies, you want a variety of toys with different textures. When redirecting a puppy, you want to redirect to something that is similar to what they’re chewing on. For example, if your puppy is trying to chew your hand, you’d want to redirect to something with a similar texture/experience.

Building your Puppy Palace

You’ll want to build a place where your puppy can stay safe when you cannot monitor them, with their crate inside. The crate is used for potty training, while the play pen is where you can keep them from getting into things when you can’t monitor them.

I like the Carlson gate because you can buy extenders, if needed, and your dog cannot climb up the sides. As far as a crate, you want your dog to be able to stand up and fully turn around. You can buy a crate with a divider, so you can create more space as they grow.

Fake Turf For Apartments

I do recommend dehydrated pumpkin and probiotics for all dogs and puppies, but always double check with your vet!

*Always confirm with your vet before giving your dog any new supplements.

  • Native Pet Supplements – I love their probiotics, pumpkin, fish oil, bladder, and allergy supplements. I haven’t tried the others.
